We all know the iPad is a great device for watching movies, playing games and surfing the web, but it can also increase your productivity and effectiveness.
So, whether you won an iPad at a mixer or went out a purchased one, these are our four favorite ways to use the iPad for real estate.
Signing Forms
DocuSign for real estate
We've talked before about Docusign and Zosh for the real estate community. DocuSign's cloud-based eSignature solution is an easy, fast and secure way to get signatures. Zosh is touted as an app that helps eliminate the nuisance of printing, signing, and faxing your time-sensitive documents.
Either app can help you get forms filled out using your iPad, and keep your business green. And in case anyone is wondering, we got our apps mixed up for the show, but Zapd is fantastic too, it helps you build websites directly from your iPhone.
Presentations, Graphs, And Charts, Oh My
Keynote for Real estate
Whether you're a listing agent, a buyers agent or a real estate trainer, using the iPad for presentations, graphs and charts is a no-brainer.
Our apps of choice begin with one of the cornerstone presentation apps Keynote. There is definietly a reason Steve Jobs used Keynote to present the iPad when the device was unveiled almost a year and a half ago.
With the VGA or HDMI iPad adapter, users can run a presentation directly to a TV, projector, or secondary monitor. Or, the device can be used as a one-on-one tool for guiding a client through a slide deck. You can even get an iPhone app that will allow you to control the iPad via Bluetooth.
Two other apps that we really like are Prezi and SlideRocket. Both apps are web based, so if you'd rather build the presentation on your desktop and present them on the iPad that is an option as well.
OmniGraphSketcher helps you make elegant and precise graphs in seconds, whether you have specific data to visualize or you just have a concept to explain. Another alternative will soon be Visual.ly. Like we highlighted, Visual.ly will be an amazing real estate tool for creating infographics.
Get Your Web Conference On
Facetime for real estate
With the front and rear facing cameras on the iPad 2, Realtors can connect with clients, referral partners or prospects using Facetime and other video chat apps.
Using the new video conferencing integration from Google Hangouts and Facebook + Skype, when its available has really got us excited about the opportunities.
Even if you are still rocking the original iPad you can still utilize GoToMeeting for your web conferencing needs.
Open House Data Collection
Open Home Pro for real estate agents
I think we've saved the best for last!
We're in love with Open Home Pro. Open Home Pro allows Real Estate Agents to manage their listings and leads using only an iPad. With just an iPad agents can list new properties instantly without an MLS Number, collect client information at their weekly Open Houses' and even automatically contact them in all new ways.
Within seconds you or your potential client can input their name, email address, number of bedrooms they are seeking and more. Not only does Open Home Pro save all of the data in it's address book (that you can export into a .csv file), but it also emails every client that gets put in the system thanking them for visiting personally from you.
It is truly an amazing tool.
