Hi , I don't know if you ever got the response to your question that you had posted , so here it is
This is something that I made up when dealing with my parrots and cockatoos.My personal birds are rescues and were abused in some fashion, so most bite.I learned that playing a game instead of repremanding in a harsh manner worked much better and I gained their trust and acceptance much faster.So basically I am 1-showing that I am not afraid of him 2-if he's nice, he gets a head rub(he loves that) 3-when I call it a "silly beak" (dumb, I know) he associates that with something good and hopefully won't use it to bite.As dumb as all this sounds , it works really well
