xMRV (non VP62), pMRV & mpMRV are recently discovered simple form human gamma retroviruses found in persons with ME/CFS, Prostate Cancer, HIV, Sjorgren's Syndrome, Immune supressed (awating transplant) - in published research, as of 2011.

Murine Leukemia Retroviruses have also been found in unpublished data in Breast Cancer, Human tonsil tissue & nasal swabs, Autism, Atypical MS, Lyme, and Parkinson's Disease - this is highly significant as this list includes neurological diseases (as is ME/CFS) and MULV retroviral infections cause neurological diseases in animals.

Human HGRV's cause subsequent organ infection and an immune response (antibodies) in macaque monkey's transfused with Human 'XMRV' by scientists.

Human Gamma Retroviruses (HGRV's) infect: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (T-Cells, B-Cells, NK Cells - vital for immune defence), Monocyte-derived macrophages, Monocyte-derived dendritic cells, Plasmacytoid dendritic cells.

HGRV's are found in blood, urine, prostate tissue, respiratory tract.

Human Murine Leukemia Viruses (MULV) may cause glial cell activation leading to cognitive dysfunction and eventual neuronal degeneration over time, through elevation of MIP1 Alpha/MCP1/IP-10 in the host, as demonstrated by Ruscetti et al in rats. (You can demonstrate this to yourself by getting a blood test if you have severe neuro disablity from CFS and measure your MIP-1 Alpha levels).

Mitochondrial dysfunction causes chronic exhaustion and left ventricular cardiac dysfunction as demonstrated by world renoun CFS expert: MD and physics Phd, Paul Cheney.

Human Gamma Retroviruses found in patients with CFS is not good news for the world, or the people it infects.

Retroviruses increase rates of Cancer and has been found to infect Lymphoma Cancer Cells. HGRV's may infect 4 million healthy carriers in the UK, and 10 million Americans. Potentially, HGRV's and are ten fold bigger than the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

The latency period for retroviral activation appears to be massive (decades). A hypothesis is humans may activate latent HGRV's in childhood and puberty through NF-Kappa B & a rise in androgens (sex hormones).

ME/CFS patients may experience: Brain shrinkage (grey matter atrophy), unique proteins in CSF fluid & increased ventricular lactate at 300% elevation (both shown by lumbar puncture) increased neutrophil apoptosis (PCD), elevated cytokine & chemokine expression (worsened by exercise), elevated lymphotoxin (LT) low lymphocye ATP (cellular energy), low blood Volume, RNase L Antiviral defence gene mutations (37Kda) increased brain carbon dioxide and urine nitrite (post exercise) decreased brain blood flow, decreased brain glucose metabolism, increased brain choline, massive oxidative stress, reduced core temperature, increased TNF-a, altered VEGF, NKC function & cytotoxic NKC function & very poor cardiac output in an upright position on TILT making 1 in 4 people with CFS unable to leave the home.
