Mmk... Danny Carey and Mike Portnoy are definitely on the same degree of skill. I'm not argue who is better, that would not only be very difficult and complicated, but rather pointless. I am a huge Tool fan, but if Portnoy is "just a drummer", then so is Danny, and basically ever...

Not progressive. Decent drumming, just... not progressive.

Not a huge fan of the song as a whole, but... words can't describe how amazing 6:00 - 9:15 is.

I'd say that technically, Portnoy is better, but Danny's drumming style is more unique. It's a tough decision.
