I started playing guitar aged 14. I'm self-taught apart from my first four chords - G, Em, Am, D - shown me by a guy I knew (Mick Rhodes) who I heard playing the Shadows 'Midnight' - it went right to my boots - and who played lead with Cliff Bowes and the Arrows. Thanks, Mick!

I also learned a lot from Stefan Grossman's Country Blues Series.

My favourite artists include Mississippi John Hurt & the Rev Gary Davis. Also Roy Buchanan, Lonnie Mack, Lightnin' Hopkins.......

I'll play country blues, gospel, and anything else if I like it enough. At least, I'll try to!

I enjoy sharing ideas with other guitarists where I can. You'll find some 'How to Play...' videos among my uploads.
