I want to make a video about the upcoming storm for Friday into Saturday for the Midwest into Ontario, but my webcam isn't working so I'll do it the old fashioned way. Generally 4-6 icnhes will be the total for the Midwest, Chicago and up into Wisconsin may get 10 inches. Here in Ontario expect a general 3-6 inches at the most. Stormy long range but trending warmer so stay tuned to my posts.

Well I have given up on my upcoming Pattern change video, I'm too busy with school and now the ECMWF and the GFS models and many more show a return to a torch end of the month and into February, so there goes part 2 of the winter. Part 3 will be mid February to end of march and models appear to trending to a cooler and stormier pattern, but that remains to be seen in this torch of a winter.

Unfortunately no greenland blocking ahead, but the AO and NAO are foretasted to go neutral to negative which will allow more cold air to invade the east as the winter goes on. But yeah this winter has been weird for a usual La Nina. They tend to bring cooler weather than El Ninos to the east.

Right now we are in a weak La Nina which is keeping the warm air centered over the great lakes and Midwest and allowing cold air to stay on the west coast and southwest parts of the U.S. I am expecting a pattern change to evolve in january, its going to take time to break this warm pattern down, I will take a look at the NAO, AO, and PNA to see when this pattern will return to stormy and cold in my next video
