Disclaimer:
I only own the copyrights of my own composiitions, but am uploading songs to help others learn how to play them, not for financial gain, so they are educational in content, though are hopefully entertaining as well.
Having been a teacher for part of my life, and knowing from personal experience how difficult it can be to work out the lyrics and chords to songs, I hope to be able to help others by showing the lyrics and chords on screen in my videos.
The lyrics and chords match up correctly when viewed at the normal size. However if you go to full screen they lose alignment.
Mainly I play and sing folk music for preference, although I also like related genres such as Kentucky Bluegrass, Irish Scottish and any Celtic music. In fact anything going really.
Over a period of about 40 years of playing and singing folk music, I have built up quite a large repertoire of songs from all round the world. (English versions only). As I do not sight read music, I have had to learn them all by ear, so if I do not sing them with absolute accuracy you will understand. Mind you that is how folk songs were originally passed from one person to another, which accounts for there being different versions of the same song. I used to learn new songs from hearing them played on records or the radio, but nowadays there is the advantage of the internet, so I am always on the lookout for new additions to my repertoire. I hope to keep uploading as many of my songs as possible and will keep doing so as long as I am able. Hope you like them. If you have any requests, I will try to accommodate them.
COMMENTS: Please feel free to comment on my videos, but note that unless you are one of my friends, your comment will not appear until I have approved it. Also you can vote on other peoples' comments by clicking on the thumbs up or thumbs down symbol beside them.
Ratings: Unfortunately there is somebody who has taken a dislike to me and is clicking the thumbs down numerous times on my videos. This is just one individual who is making the ratings lopsided but I hope like me you will ignore his infantile attempts to sabotage them.

Tony,
Thanks so much for your kind remarks. You are certainly a musician's musician. Surely you have been told by others as well that you remind me of Burl Ives in your pictures. I'm going to listen to your "Tambourine Man" a few more time to hear how you compress all those lyrics in the song. I have some difficulty with it. I do so appreciate your musical knowledge. Thanks again.

Thank you so very much for all your research in regard to orgins of songs. I copied and quoted your comments about Yellow Bird in my video of the song. I have a great love for the 12 string guitar and play my Custom Legend Ovation as my primary instrument. Thanks again...love your music, your spirit, and your devotion to music.

I'm a big fan of your country and your culture, Isle of Man is beautiful and full of heritage all around. And of course, from what I seen here, good music too! Keep up the good work, kudos from Scotland!

It would be cool if you could do a cover of the Misfits song, American nightmare! It may be out of your comfort zone but It can be played in a folk/blues style. I think it would suit your vocals.

MuhammadOttojasper1 You sent your original request in a format to which I could reply. However, that one has been deleted and writing to me on this channel comments page does not allow me to reply to you as your channel is for some reason not available. Please send your message using the 'Send Message' link so I can reply to you from there.
