THÓRRALF SCHUH - Irish Bodhrán

Thórralf Schuh is a percussionist whose main focus is the Bodhrán. Through his great interest in a wide range of different music traditions such as Persian, north Spanish and Scandinavian he also plays Oriental and many other drums besides the Irish framedrum. Among his teachers are the brothers Behnam and Reza Samani, Glen Velez and others. As a versatile musician, he gives the sound of groups like Spillÿck and Salty Finish a special touch and participates as guest musician to groups like Poeta Magica.

For many years Thórralf Schuh has been giving classes in Bodhrán and is at present working on a Bodhrán Manual. Within the framework of his activity for a non profit organisation, he also offers a regular drum-group for mentally disabled people. Thórralf Schuh leads the Internet site www.bodhranroots.eu and www.Tamburimundi.de.
