Just a small sample of woody wood pecker with a French overdubbed voice, which is very common in French television to see American shows with French overdubbed voices....usually the voices sound very cheesy and often even change the personality of the character all together. And it gets even worse when you go to the movies!

So the sun has set and we are headed back home....this is a returning video of our neighborhood by night. I'm trying to show a beautiful appartment that has a wall practically made out of glass and you can see inside....it is very modern....speaking of modern, we also pass by a kitchen furniture store where I show you an idea of our new kitchen furniture and how it will look once installed in our appartment. I also show more little French cars and some recycling bins that are commonly around the city encouraging people to recycle....they look like green apples. Also, the trees! All through out France you see these particular looking trees that decorate the sides of the roads, my husband says this was all the work of Napoleon who had all of France's roads with these trees in order to keep the sun off the eyes of travelers.....very interesting.

This time we head towards the left-hand side of our appartment towards the Monument aux Morts, Saint Etienne Cathedral, Joan D'Arc area, and the Capitol right in the downtown. In another video I'll go to the capitol. I'm showing the old appartments in this area and their own styles and charms. Most of the appartments in this area are "small", they are small appartment with not so many tenants....the oldness of these appartments brings their own style of architecture which is a part why this area is prized....other than being around many interesting things. we are on the way to a video club that we go to every sunday to pick new movies....as being in France it is hard take the whole family to the theater since the theaters are not as good as the USA, France doesn't allow children under 3 into the movies....which sux for us, and of course the movies are overdubbed in French....except for 1 theater here. The other voice you hear is my husband.

After our super market shopping we had an early dinner at the Yankee Grill because Mallo was craving Tex Mex :D Honestly, the Yankee Grill is the ONLY place I know in all of Toulouse, France that serves TRUE Tex Mex food. Not even the Texas Cafe or Tommy's Diner or even the shortly lived Mexico Resto, not even La Vaquero in Colomiers serves true Tex Mex. The best in Tommy's Diner is the Taco salad....very close. The Texas Cafe's chips and salsa is very close but nothing else....and the Yankee Grill serves very good crispy beef tacos that are very close to the real Tex Mex, just FYI incase you ever venture to southern France. The Yankee Grill has a cute cowboy feel to it, when I go to other restaurants i'll make sure to start filming....I should anyway :) A CON-almost all French restaurants do not have children cups, they have everything in glass, which leaves the poor parents constantly on egg shells trying to make sure their child doesn't break their glass. And most restaurants in France are not very child frendly either. It is also expensive going to eat at a restaurant....consider the Olive Garden and Johnny Carino's prices....imagine having to pay that all the time! That is of course, eating at a restaurant.
