About this user
As a little girl I always dreamed of singing professionally. My mother was my first role model and I immediately took up after her, singing in church and whenever I got a chance; in the school choir, assemblies and special occasions.
At the age of about 15, my sister, two other sisters and myself formed a band, with some guys from our church. We never could come up with a name, though my father tended to call us "when girls meet boys." It was a wonderful experience and this sparked a zealousness within me to sing.
However, the realization hit me of how hard it would be to make it as a singer sometime between 16 and 18 and I cowardly backed away from it, settling for something I thought was thought of as a "wise" career.
I picked nursing. I started here in Grenada then went to Mexico on a scholarship to continue there. Little did I know that after 2 1/2 years, I'd be on my way back home, pursuing that dream I'd given up.
We are all put here for a purpose and it makes no sense running from it, because then our lives wouldn't be completely satisfying. So, I sucked up my pride, came home and started on this journey to being the best I can be with what God has given me.
I have yet a long way to go, but I'm a fighter and with God I believe all things are possible.
