About Me:

Corporate Accountability International has been waging winning campaigns to challenge corporate abuse for more than 30 years. We were there at the beginning of this movement to demand direct corporate accountability to public interests and have been at its forefront ever since.

The Think Outside the Bottle campaign encourages consumers to choose tap over bottled water and support the efforts of local elected officials to do the same at the city, state, and national level.

I would like for you as a Company to rethink your decision on getting rid of the clown and focus on tutoring the families and parents on how to handle their children's diets. Give them advice on books to read, people to watch, and sites to look up to give them a healthier choice. Or even, if they HAVE to go out to eat, tell them decent places that will be BETTER for them. DOn't just assume by getting rid of the clown and toys that the parents will buy the product still to keep their kids quiet in the backseat. It's only making it worse. Try alternatives. Thanks for reading these comments and take it into consideration.

If you can't, then you are at fault for destroying an icon for children of the sick. THey enjoy seeing the clown's face as he talks to them and greets them, giving them a big smile on their face knowing people care. He is the mascot for not just McDonalds, but for a charity for sick kids that NEED the help and support. If anything, you are taking that away from the kids. They get lots of money and support from the clown. Do you REALLY insist on taking that away from them? It isn't about the food at all as you claim it to be. Instead, it is the parents who can't control their childs' diet like they SHOULD be doing, as well as hurting the kids that see the clown as they lay in the hospital bed, wondering if they will get better. You are a horrible group for doing such a thing. It just makes me mad you are SUPPORTING the bad parents and DESTROYING sick children's experiences at the hospitals and camps.

Dear Company,
THe thing about the McDonalds about firing Ronald McDonald, is just another excuse. You DO know that kids can't purchase the food themselves right? You know who does though? The Parents. They buy the product just to shut the kids up while on the road. It makes the trip alot quieter while they play with their little toy from the happy meal that the parent bought just because it was cheap and making a GOOD and DECENT meal just isn't for them. If that is the case, then the parents are at fault that they can't handle their kids diets. Kids can't control their diets. Parents have that power to. As teenagers, they do have choices, and they will make the right choices after years of parental guidance. You are targeting the wrong group. If anything, target the parents and teach them how to PROPERLY feed their kids.
