In early 2004, three-piece band The Window Right formed in Huddersfield. After continuous sessions, the band incorporated influences such as Jazz, Krautrock and Electronica into what is now their own sound. By the beginning 2005, The Window Right had released the self-titled two-track instrumental demo, which they recorded live, engineered, produced and mixed in their rehearsal room on a Roland VS1824 Workstation. American Trumpeter, Adam Baluch features on the demo adding further depth to the arrangements. Shortly after the release of the demo, a live set was showcased at venues in Manchester, Huddersfield and Leeds to ever-growing, enthusiastic crowds. Demos were widely distributed and also greatly received by such artists as Dan Snaith (Caribou) and Damo Suzuki (Can). The Window Right then retreated to their private recording studio to concentrate on a deeper, more complex sound structure learning new recording styles and techniques which helped the band develop an individual soundscape. The bands hard work and self sufficiency was then rewarded when they were asked to support the legendary Damo Suzuki in Huddersfield. Damo was already a fan of The Window Right and carried a copy of their first demo with him at all times on his never ending tour of the World and mentioned the band to his worldwide mailing list; The Window Right will continue to showcase their music across England this summer.
