You should have acquired the knowledge first before practicing it. Rmbr, Quran comes down in stages. There are lots of adjustments to be made. salam, i understand what your going thru..It's the right choice as a good foundation is needed before anything can be built. The Prophet Muhammad left us Al-Quran (and Hadiths) so they r really important. The fact that he once said
"teach your children how to pray at the age of 7, discipline them for it at the age of 10". 3 years to learn about prayers for a child...shows that it does take time.

Erin, I have loved your videos for a while.
I think that human relationships with God are the heart of religion and if you weren't living into a relationship with God, then you weren't where you needed to be. Be brave! Crazy things happen (like this daughter of atheists going to seminary). I agree with Myrtoula - find yourself. When you begin to discover who you really are, thenyou will see God at work in your life.

Yeah I've heard there is at least some connection there. I read that were all probably of Basque anscestry, and that the Celtic culture was borrowed from Celts who came from modern day Turkey to France and the Isles. I also remember reading about the Celt-Iberians in Spain. I love that stuff. I can just sit on Wikipedia for hours reading about where every tribe and group originated and all that.

Haha I see that. I am a proud Irish Sephardi Muslim. My dad's side is from Ireland, and my mom's side are Sephardic Jews, meaning they originated in Spain, but fled when Islamic Spain was taken over by the Catholics. My grandma's family comes from Greece, and my grandpa's family comes from Turkey, but they spoke Spanish lol. Cool, huh?
