yeah, snus is a safe alternative for people who are already addicted to nicotine. keep in mind that swedish snus is not anything at all like our canadian and american CHEW. completely different process, tobacco selection and ingredients. unlike our brainwashed american culture and it's double talk anti drug campaign which only perpetuates the problem. Scandinavian countries have several studies on what is called harm reduction. Snus is a method of harm reduction. Like methadone for a heroin junkie... Only a much different level. American Chew would not be a viable alternative as it is fermented, and chalk full of carcinogens due to the processing....
