We play northwestern AND purdue AND michigan AND michigan state at home this year. Kill got some great recruits, I can't wait to see what he did with them. Good news, Gopher Nation. Joel Maturi is on his last year on contract with the Gophers.

It's about time. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. You turned our program upside down with your hiring Punky Brewster and threw us down the toilet.

But, he did do some good things I'd like to let people know.

He worked his ass off to get TCF Bank Stadium built, which is such a wonderful facility. On top of this, his dance teams, track and field and cheerleading squad have all become national champions (BUT HOW ABOUT SOME REVENUE-GENERATING SPORTS, HUH??). But even if he wanted to try and stay, I really hope Eric Kaler wouldn't let him because he's that bad. It'd be best for his reputation to leave with style and class and retire/resign.

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS USC...

I didn't get to see it, but from what I heard and saw from highlights, it was very close. We missed 2 field goals (which if we made even 1 we would have beat them) and we came very close on the final drive to making a touchdown. I would have loved to see it myself.

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS NEW MEXICO...

Ugh. All I can say. It was awful. We couldn't run the ball at all, the defense was terrible and the cherry on top of the sundae is Kill had a seizure. He's ok people; seizures don't normally have long term effects (unless the seizures are very long). His was only about a minute and a half to 2 minutes, and although it was a very bad seizure he recovered fine and he will be coaching against Miami of Ohio... whether he's on the sideline or not. If he is, let's hope he stays hydrated.
But still, no way we should have lost to them. They're one of the worst teams in the country(the prediction of the score was 38-10 Gophs) and we did not play well enough. Period.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME VS. MIAMI OF OHIO...

Holy crap. Can you say 'intense'? I would have killed myself if I didn't show up to this one... what a nailbiter! The Redhawks are a decent team and we buckled down and worked for that well earned victory. The defense got better and the team just looked more organized. They didn't let themselves get cocky like they did last week and they played football. The game really goes to the defense though. A punt block, holding the Redhawks back in the final seconds of the game... A great time. This is why we watch College Football people. :)

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS NORTH DAKOTA STATE...

Well, I don't have a whole lot to say here. I could only listen to a few fragments on the radio, but the Bison are a decent team and they just played better football and that's what it all comes down to.

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS MICHIGAN...
No words. Just pain. This loss will go down in history.

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS PURDUE...

Huh.

We played better, but giving up 45 points to a struggling Purdue is horrible and there's no excuse for it.

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS. NEBRASKA...

Oh boy. We get to play these guys every year now.

Despite whatever the scoreboard said, we played well in this game. (Well, except for the 2nd quarter, in which he gave up 24 points.) The offensive line is getting its act together, the defense is improving, and I see hope even in a miserable start to the Big 10 start.

THOUGHTS ON GAME VS. IOWA...

WOOOOOT!! GO GOPHERSSSSS

This was a good football game, and the best the Gophs have played all season, even against USC. We blocked a field goal, the offense improved, Marqueis Gray kept his hands on the ball, not to mention quite a few mistakes on Iowa's part... THE IMPORTANT THING IS WE HAVE THE FLOYD. SKI-U-MAH!
