About this user
The Tyrant -- First emerged in 1996 along side DJ Tense with their release on Industrial Strength Records (IS 40) under
F.U.H.D; Release that even today is still considered one of the hardest hitting pieces of wax released by IS.
Later on going on, and starting Apocalypse Recordings, and its offshoot Hellz Army. From the start, Tyrant took the
rather unbeaten path of what some called "experimental" sound. Never sticking to formulas, he created his own very unique,
dark but rather sarcastic style, which makes his music easily recognizable. With releases on such labels as Sensory
Violation, B.E.A.S.T, Bastard Loud, Crapshoot, Perdition, and many others, he secured his place in the industry.
His solo live acts combine elements of speedcore, breakcore, hardcore and noise, putting his music in a category of its
own; so much so he has been asked to add that signiture sound to remixes for bands such as Agoraphobic Nosebleed & Visions
of Disorder (V.O.D.). The Tyrant has been heavily involved in the New York underground hardcore scene, supporting,
organizing, as well as performing at events for over a decade. He is an active member of the Renegade Virus Sound System
as well as one of the original members of Team Bring It 25 (TBI25) a group of North American djs, and producers,
specializing in aggressive electronic sound. After a brief stay in the west coast, where he worked on projects
with 5lowershop Sound System, Havoc Sound, and producers such as Planetsize, Skwerly, Kontroversy 396, R-Type,
Heartworm and others, he is now back in New York, working on new solo projects, as well as phresh cooperation's
involving artists world wide.
