"He's the Edgar Allan Poe of youtube!" - poet and metalist Catherine Owen
"He's a singer, he's good, and he's funny. He says he has no idea how to make money, but he believes in the media revolution. This guy's interesting." - Steve Martin
"He is the Emily Dickinson of youtube! He is someone creating great works of literature and performance but instead of sticking them in his desk drawer, he's putting them online. When people understand what he's doing, it could change the way words are published." -Regie Cabico, National Slam Champion and arts educator
"CJ Leon may be the first major literary figure to embrace free media and internet sharing networks. A brilliant writer, a brilliant performer, and someone whose mind is invested in using the internet. I've been waiting for this. Poetry needs this kind of genius!" - Bob Holman, The Bowery Poetry Club
"He's the next Leonard Cohen and he's convinced that people should have free access to what he's doing. This is going to be very interesting." Sheri D-Wilson, Calgary Festival of Spoken Word
Gothic poet and composer C. J. Leon makes shivers, giggles, and smiles. Occasionally, fascinating guests can be found doing what they do.

By a slight hack, I've put my last five books of poetry in the album called "Poetry" so that the tracklist is actually a list of the titles of my books, and the lyrics for each track is the text of one of the books. (Yay, technology!)
My writing (essays, poetry, reviews) and my latest tracks are here: http://myspace.com/cjleonsp...
There's way more than I could possibly put on youtube... music, spoken word, unreleased tracks, audio books, photography, and I write reviews of things I think are cool in my blog.
Also, I should say that some things appear only on youtube.
I am a pro-active commnity builder, so feel free to send me some of your personal words or commentary.
Oh, and if you didn't notice, I am a writer, and counter-mainstream, so if you leave a stupid comment, prepare for annihilation.
On the same note, if you like what I do, feel free to engage me and the community, because my ratio of haters to kindred is excessive, but those who are in are really in. For the same reason, don't trust the ratings. I only put things up here that I believe are effective. Unfortunately, pop-culture is a self-perpetuating oxymoron.
(Making fun of people who leave obtuse comments becomes a bit of a sideshow in itself for this channel. Just read what I wrote to the fools who already spoiled my days with their off-handed hatred... and laugh laugh laugh as I judo flip their words into something positive. Or at least entertaining;)
