Sarah and Sam were childhood sweethearts in a small town in Scotland...and Sam believed they'd be together forever. Sarah wanted to pursue a career in New York believing she had all the time in the world for love and family. When she left, Sam was devasted and worked hard to put his life back together. He married Charlotte, on the rebound, and they opened a restaurant. After a few very successful years, Sarah is diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, and everything she believed was important in her life becomes empty and cold. Feeling so alone, Sarah thought of jumping off a building to end it all right now, but she remembers Sam. Immediately, she packs up her bags and goes home to Scotland. Too late, she realized that Sam, her only true love, was everything to her. She wants to spend her last days on this earth with him. This causes many complications between Sam and his wife...but, Sarah IS his forever love and he can't refuse her last request.
