I currently have 2 restoration projects; another 1987 Thundershot and Fox.

All my Buggies are running an ESC, Mabuchi 540, Technigold, Sports Tuned and Technipower motors. The majority of my Buggies are fully ball-raced. I eventually will replace all my 4WD Buggies with the 2007 Hotshot improved parts: drive shafts, cups, prop joints and propeller shaft.

I still can't believe its been over 24 years since I got into this hobby-man I feel old :(.

Anyway, back in 1987 I witnessed my friend's Tamiya Fox and Boomerang tearing it around the school yard and parks. After witnessing what the Buggies were capable of doing I was then hooked and desperately wanted one, the Tamiya promo video of the Hotshot II did not help matters; (that video was amazing when I first saw it. Sadly I stopped in 1992 and foolishly sold my Boomerang, Bigwig and Manta Ray. Though, I still don't regret selling the Manta Ray, just my other Buggies :(.

Back in 2004, you could say nostalgia got the better of me. I was on the net and googled Tamiya Hotshot etc, well the memories came flooding back to me. I then came across various websites dedicated to vintage r/c Buggies and my hunger increased. I went on Ebay and got my hands on the Hotshot II and Boomerang . My aim was to collect the entire Hotshot series Buggies including the Thundershot.

I have the entire series now. I bought the 2007 release of the Hotshot in 2008, the Buggy that I always wanted since the 1985 Tamiya Guide book, I'm sure I'm not alone!!
