In late November, as school was continuing to go underway, Tristan Markham and Alex Hagopian were forming a band. By the end of the second week of December, they managed to recruit 4 members to their band forming The Shipleys Sound. At first they started off as a jazz/blues and instrumental band. Unhappy with the band, Drew and Antonio left the band. For a few monthes, the remaining four members of the band continued on.

Then in in early February, the band added Josee as their vocalist and percussionist. Shortly after they decided to switch their genre to progressive rock. A few months later in early June, Josee decided to leave the band to follow her musical passions in the direction of pop. After that, the members of the band decided to add Michael Bateman as their vocalist and rythm guitarist. Then in late October, Michael Bateman decided to leave the band. Then in late November, Tristan Markham left the band. As of now the band is planning to record upcoming songs and release them for online purchase.
