About Me:
I started my musical intrests when very young i used to listen to the pirate stations back in the day i remember hearing hardcore music in the late 80s and early 90s i found the breakbeats very catchy and would pump out the beats for as long as possible.
once hardcore music progressed and became jungle music in the early 90s i was addicted i would nick all my dads and sisters cassette tapes lol and tape all the stations like rude fm, kool fm and always record mc skibadee ,mc det ,dj brockie and all the other top djs and mcs and then later realised i wanna be a dj too !!!!
You would see me constantly wearing headphones and carrying my walkman always listening to jungle music.
I got my first set of turntables (technics 1210s) when i was about 18 and i became known as DJ RUTHLESS a few yrs later i became known as THE RUTHLESS ONE
lots of my friends used to dj and i would watch what they do once i got my decks i was a natural i found mixing beats easy but damn how i tried n tried to scratch lol scratching is enuff hard big up to all the djs who have mastered scratching
I got my first taste for music production on my playstation 1 on a game/program called MUSIC and also later MUSIC2000
I found these games very fun and spent many hours creating tunes once i got the hang of it i realised that it was not powerful enough for the ideas i had in my head. so i got a program called FRUITYLOOPS 2.4 which is a sequencer and also sonic foundry (now sony) SOUNDFORGE which is a sound editing tool and installed them on my PC
i found these programs very easy to use and still use them to this day :)
I also use a wide range of synthesizers to create my own sounds.
(which can be either used on their own as a stand alone program or as a plugin for the selected application)
I attended a FREE part time music production course in 2001 for about 3years at the college of north east london and also at a place called the chocolate factory in woodgreen and the selby centre in tottenham
this course covered everything about music and the industry !!
whilst at this course i learned how to use other programs such as CUBASE, PRO TOOLS, REASON, RECYCLE and also many other sound edting tools, we learned about sound engineering, studio management and almost everything else to do with the music industry
i attended this course with a friend (DJ DETOX)
me and DETOX created a group called the FUNKY PLAYERZ !!
during our time as the funky playerz we created lots of tunes and would mix n blend like it was a religion lol
we also got a few tunes pressed onto dubplates at a place called TRANSITIONS in london
Slowly but surely my luv for dj-ing changed into a passion for music production i still luv having a mix but i get more of a buzz from creating a tune than i do from mixing them
