The Runaway Five are a synth-rock band from sunny Tucson born of a love of loud guitars, square wave synth leads, and impressive video game collections. Equally comfortable with fast punk rock songs as they are with hook-filled dance riffs, The Runaway Fives unique sound is derived from the blending of the two in proportions that make banging your head to a boom-tsk dance beat as likely as being swung around the floor to a face-melting guitar solo. The band plays out often at notable Tucson venues like Plush and Club Congress, but also has a soft spot for Dry River and house parties.
