"I love this, Country tinged indie from Rose Parade"
Jim Gellatly Amazing Radio
"Hopes are high that they can take their DIY gigging and kitchen-based recording sessions to a wider audience.
With a knack for a catchy tune, their enthusiasm is also infectious"
The tidal wave of indifference
Rose Parade formed in Ayr in 2009 when Ari Pournaras teamed up with the now departed Paul Mcgeechan and Edward Mackay . Sean Mcphail joined the band in October 2010 on lead guitar. They started jamming together and writing folk tunes with a punk/indie edge and feel to the sound.Rose Parade have a very distinctive sound, their melodies are fuelled with delayed guitars, catchy banjo riffs and a variety of different instruments such as glockenspiels, violins, pianos and whimsical lyrics. They have been getting a lot of airplay on different podcasts & radio stations such as Jim Gellatly best up & coming Scottish bands show on amazing radio who played their new single "Grace" for the first time in August 2010
The band released their first EP titled "Grace" online and on hardcopies in December 2010 and since then they have been turning a lot of heads in the Scottish scene including Jim Gellatly, Kowalskiy, Peenko, the tidal wave of indifference, Frankie ward from the amazing folk roots show who picked "closer" to be track of the week and many other Scottish music radio stations and bloggers.
This is an amazing tune! love it
Cheers
