About Me:
Philippe and Laytitia met in Paris at a « MGMT »s gig, Spring 2009.
Since then, they have stuck together.
Multiplying part-time jobs, the pair survives by investing body and heart, night and day, into their musical project, ironically named: The RiTch Kids.
The Do It Yourself duo, influenced by T-Rex as well as The Beach Boys, creates everything at home, in the Parisian suburbs: Composition, rehearsal, recordings, clips, photographs, visualsThey do it all!
But they know that it is nevertheless a must to leave the suburbs in order to play live.
The proposals for concerts multiply and after only a few weeks of existence they got great opportunities such as opening for The Ting Tings at the Arras Festival!
With the spread of their fresh, spontaneous and sincere spirit, they quickly reached 200,000 visits on myspace.
They intend to record an album before the end of 2010.
Cest à Paris lors dun concert de « MGMT » que Philippe & Laytitia se rencontrent, au Printemps 2009.
Philippe rentre à peine des US où il a étudié à la Berklee Music School of Boston, tandis que Laytitia débarque du sud de la France pour se lancer dans la musique.
Ils ne se séparent plus.
Multipliant les petits boulots, le tandem survit en sinvestissant corps et âme, jour et nuit dans un projet au nom forcément ironique : The RiTch Kids.
Radicalement « Do It Yourself », le duo influencé par T Rex comme par les Beach Boys décide de tout faire à la maison, dans un appart en banlieue, à Sceaux plus exactement: Composition, répétition, enregistrement, clips, photos, visuelsils fabriquent tout!
Mais Ils savent quil faut quand même sortir de la banlieue pour jouer. Les propositions de concerts se multiplient et les Ritch Kids se retrouvent après quelques semaines dexistence à notamment ouvrir pour The Ting Tings au Festival DArras !
Cultivant cette dynamique fraiche, spontanée et sincère ils ont rapidement atteint plus de 200,000 visites sur Myspace.
Ils ont bien lintention denregistrer un album avant la fin 2010.
