THE RED DRAGON BAND
Doc OToole has been a singer/ songwriter for many years on the East coast of Australia since 1985, where he formed his first band Hells Soldiers. He has been in numerous bands holding some success under his belt. Docs quest for Rock N Roll, has never faulted and has lead Doc on many journeys & now to his new project The Red Dragon Band.
The Red Dragon Band is a project laced with Docs influences, life experiences & travels, with the lyric content hopefully filling the listener with hopes and dreams and with the music a rocking great time. Doc has been able to bring his demos to life by collaborating with his great friend & brother, Graham Greene (www.grahamgreene.com.au). Doc was invited to perform in Vietnam in 2008, where his popularity grew over night followed with continued requests to return to Vietnam to perform with The Red Dragon Band.

The Red Dragon Band has just returned from Vietnam performing three shows to a very appreciative audience. The band has been requested to return there again in 2009 and may also be heading up to Phuket to perform and headline a concert while there.

What is The Red Dragon About ?

The Red Dragon is the chassis for a rock n roll machine, one that will bring all of Doc OTooles influences together to create an impact of songs.

Doc OToole is a well seasoned Rock singer/songwriter frontman who has fronted over 19 bands in his Rock n Roll career and controls a very diverse vocal range together with a burning passion for hard rock & success.. He has endured and conquered every obstacle in his path to date; keeping his vision totally in tact to pursue and create his ultimate Rock band. Doc has formed and been in partnerships with a number of original rock bands, but never fulfilling his envisioned rock n roll band dreams. He started a cover show in 2003 with long-time friend Kevin Lucas called The Rock Show Australia, recreating the arena bands of the 80s. Three years on; Doc & Kevin decided to take a break from The Rock Show and pursue other avenues. Kevin took up playing guitar for Australias hard rock blues band "Black Label". Doc decided to awaken the sleeping Red Dragon Band and began to write up his demo songs. The guitarist in mind to help him achieve the style and impact of desire is close friend Graham Greene. Graham has taken on the project as arranger, producer also performing, recording & mixing the final backing tracks to The Red Dragon songs. For the Vietnam Shows Doc OToole is using hired musicians as his backing band while keeping a keen eye out for the right members to become apart of The Red Dragon Band.
