I use the entire line of ORS (Organic Root Stimulator). I have ALWAYS had healthy hair (relaxed, loc'd, & currently) so I will continue to do what works for me. I know MY hair. You need to get to know YOUR hair.

MY HAIR REGIMEN

Step 1: Detangle. I drench my hair with water and apply a CHEAP conditioner with a lot of slip (Tresemme). I use a detangling comb or wide tooth comb starting at the ends working my way up to the scalp.

Step 2: Braid hair into 6-8 large braids. This prevents it from tangling again. These braids stay put during shampooing & condtioning.

Step 3: I shampoo my hair 1x week (5-7 days). I focus on the scalp. I rarely use a clarifying shampoo. The purpose of the clarifying shampoo is to prepare hair for a chemical service such as tinting. This is to ensure minerals from the water or chlorine, etc don't interact with the chemical service. Shampoos such as Porosity Control are to prepare CHEMICALLY TREATED hair for additional chemical services to ensure a uniform application.

Step 4: I ALWAYS deep condition. From my experience, tightly coiled hair (relaxed & natural) should be deep conditioned using some type of heat (hooded dryer; plastic cap for body heat). I love LeKair Hotoil Treatment (it heats up on the contact of water). The heat lifts the cuticle (top layer of hair) & the conditioner penetrates into the layers of the cuticle and smoothes them. Rinse.

Step 5: You can apply an oil to help retain the moisture that's already in your hair (damp hair after conditioner is rinsed out).

That's it!

Bedtime Routine: Wear satin cap or Du-Rag. Depending on the style, I may spritz my hair.
