I started rescuing animals many years ago to keep as pets and didnt realise way back then the scale of the problem facing unwanted animals. After helping out with fostering and other things at a local rescue, I opened the Rabbit Reatreat to look after unwanted, abused and disregarded Rabbits, when our local Rescue was forced to close.
