About seven years ago the bustle and toil of the city had become more than I could bare, I threw it all in and left for a better life in the country. To say the least it's been a rollercoaster, euphoric highs and saddening lows but it gave me then and still gives me now, something I had forgotten, a re-connection to the earth, both through my garden and through my words.

Just watched your companion planting video. I've been bordering my beds with cosmos and calendula. They're heat and drought tolerant, attract pollinating bugs, and their leaves are tasty in salads. Not to mention that calendulas are good in lotions and soaps. Oh, and they're pretty too. Love the videos!
