Best song they ever recorded still to this day one of my all time favorites! Everyone who has had a break up on either side can relate to this song and it's lyrics. Morning noon and night it's just not right that they never had the backing when they so deserved and needed to be heard!!

Sorry the best rendition of this song is Al Kooper when he was the lead singer of Blood Sweat & Tears. Their first album entitled "Child is the Father to the Man" includes this and there is not a bad song on either side.

You can have your Stormy and Spooky too
There are Traces Every day it's true
This to me is the best thing
The one that made the bell ring
This is a story that cuts like a knife
Whether it's a girlfirend or a wife
The only thing sadder now is to real
We lost our Yost and that's a raw raw deal

This is their best song I could not get it out of my head when I heard it. Sounds as great today as it did in the 60's.
Great group who I wonder why only had one hit. Saw them at a club in Bellmore Long Island many more years ago then I like to admit. All I know is that someone is calling alll the gretat ones home. Must be getting ready for one heck of a show. Nick R.I.P.
