@em745aa My mistake, I didn't clarify what I meant. I was referring to the act of balancing the thrust output force with the force of gravity to hover in midair. I had seen that maneuver done at Randolph AFB Air Show 2011 on 29 Oct. Again, my mistake for not clarifying.

Crappy graphics? Dude, Half-Life came out in 1998, of course the graphics are bad. Even with the HD version released in 2001 it wasn't that great. Although the game remains to be good.
