they are the least precise hubs on the planet. Im sick of fixing them! watch the rotor and youll see how non centric the hole drillings are. They also come with shit for lube in them. We use Chris King driver lube in the clutch mech to keep it going strong for a season in Whistler.

Its usually a combo of the starter going and the battery getting weak. Even if you gave it a top up if its old or frozen its not going to work a nice.

First remove all the battery and starter connections, clean em right off, re install them and try it.

clean the throttle body if you already havent. Unplug the CTS and adjust the idle speed down to 1000 and then plug it back in.

It sounds and looks like the pump timing is off. VW diesels are louder when cold started but the detonation doesnt sound right. Even if you had the timing advance on it shouldnt sound like that. You have some un burnt fuel issues too. Weather you have the timing advanced to warm up or not on the ...

oooooo that could use a full tune up that one........ I would also re do all the electrical and ground connections under the hood. Even with the low sound quality on the camera you can hear the lag in the ISV kicking in.

you temp sender to the guage is broken. Theres no way an 8v will preform that well if its ice cold :) Mk2s are the best cars period.

Buy a block heater and buy yourself an external pan mount oil heater. They stick on with a magnet like theyre welded on there. Plug the car in for 30 min before you need to drive off and I bet you will be dow...

Actually a lot of that is just cold air rushing back into the exhaust and cavitating as hot exhaust pushes it back out. If will definatly do it worse if its running rich but its more of a bang noise each time than a rumble.

I had an identical noise in mine. Turned out it was the water pump pully. Loctited the bolts and away I went. Silent.....

Was its the Idle stabilizer? Ive fixed two Jettas that did that, both needed the Idle control stabilizer removed, flushed with contact cleaner and then re installed. Both cars idled like champs afterwards.
