Probably a very hard song to write and perform. Touched many people and will for a long time. I'm sure thoughts of suicide in youth will always be a problem. I was a so called jock and brain back then but thought about it then too. Hopefully they have classes now to deal with those emotions.

In rock there's only a few great legends. Elvis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Elton John. No, no, no, don't add more, that's it. I'm thinking Elton may be #1 overall though. Just plain brilliant.....

I also thought it was a guy singing. Looks like she wants to ROCK-IT but I don't think Ed would have liked that. One of my all time faves. Hey, the origins of lip-syncing-and-instruments. Love it.

I went to high school in the 70's and I'm extremely happy to grow up listening to Elton John and Bernie Taupins songs. There are very few writer/singer/preformers and he does more. An unbelievable tallent. THE BEST!!!!
Soooo, glad to have grown up in this Era. So many hits from great bands, just like H& O. My kids listen to this stuff now. Simply, THE BEST!!!!!!!!
