A hose end cap works well for capping off the hose connection on the bucket. Those can be picked up in the garden section at most discount stores. Make sure there is a washer inside it too. Most will come with one already in it, so that shouldn't be a problem.

It could be possible that the equipment on the sirens themselves needed updating too. If you call it in, I'm sure they'll fix it.

My Wards uses refrigerant 12, which is a lot more common but is also no longer made. I'm afraid to let it go as it still works. I'd keep this thing as they don't make them like they used to.

We used to have a functioning Thunderbolt in our neighborhood. When it was being tested you'd have to plug your ears when it pointed your directions if you were outside as it was loud. They need to bring them back.

The Thunderbolt would be much louder than that sucker would be. Separate sirens for separate purposes, but one is much better than the other. Do they test the Thunderbolt periodially too?
