to guitarists: at 0:10 you can see that he's anchoring three fingers don't you think it's quite unusual?

to guitarists: at 1.59 you can see that he's using only his thumb and index to pick leaning the other fingers on the pickguard... thats really strange in my opinion i tried to play like that and it's not just hard but i think even unwise.. what do you think?
