Great! Kudos!

What a gift from God it was to grow up in a time with music like this. To be young and discovering love for the first time, to music like this, is something I look forward to when I do my life review on judgement day. The Lord HAS to look on beautiful music like this, and our feelings toward it...

Well, I AM a Smokey fan, and this was one of the great Cha-Cha sides of all times!

Obsessive love - "I'll take her back..." Dang. This was a great slow dance song, I used to croon in dude's ear back in the day. Love you, Smokey!

I used to LOVE ME SOME SMOKEY! Still do, just not the adolescent version...this is another beautiful song by the "greatest American poet" (as per Bob Dylan).

My parents had this album...and now it's mine. It brings back so many wonderful childhood memories. My parents (and brothers) exposed me to so many different kinds of music, which I enjoy, to this day.

My mother used to play this on the piano when I was a child...in the early 1960's. I never heard the words until a couple of years ago. I know my mother was glad to escape the south, which is why she never SANG it. But she played it in this same slow tempo, unlike Louis Armstrong's version.

My mother used to play this on the piano when I was a child, slower paced, though...almost a dirge. She was glad to leave the south, but she played this almost as if this song was the only fond thing she'd allow herself to remember.

In terms of music, I sometimes feel that I was born in the wrong era. This song strikes some chord in me that I cannot describe. It makes me weep.

Virtuosity at its finest. A beautiful song, with lovely and innocent sentiments, not often seen or felt in today's world of quick sex, hard truths and what? I don't know. I need to stop the negativity.

This song played at the end of Episode 7, "Boardwalk Empire". It evokes such feelings in me...I must've lived during that time, too...
