My name is Rick and I am a professional gardener and writer, living in Paignton Devon. I have been married to Helen since 1990 and have two sons, Daniel and Michael.

I got into the mod scene back in 1979, via music by The Jam and a certain film that was released that year. First rally was Southend in 79, on the back of a mates scooter. Enjoyed the scene in the late 70's and early 80's, being No. 1 of the A6 Avengers and Distant Echo Scooter Clubs in Northants.

A move to Guernsey for work, returning to England setting up home in Torbay, marriage, children and ownership of an MZ motorcycle followed, which meant me not hanging up my parka but actually losing it.

Fast forward to late 2007, the purchase of a copy of Scootering and conversion to broadband allows me to catch up on the scene.
Not a case of My Generation......but perhaps Regeneration!
