My 80 yr.old husband was diagnosed with MM in April2011 and is benefiting from great Drs. at Shands Cancer Hospital in Gainesville Fl. THis site led me to MMRF and it is comforting to see that the drugs he has started with are listed in your site. I am very happy to have found this site that gives me hope that my husband of 50 years has a chance to be able to hopefully see his grandchildren graduate from college. Kathy ,you are an angel . May you continue to succeed in your efforts. GOd Bless.

My mom was diagnosed with Myeloma in recent months and started the chemotherapy (VALCADE) for a few weeks. She has been responding very well and the dose has been reducing after the first 2 doses. She experienced no pain and almost no symptom of any side effect at all except she doesn't feel like eating in the first 2 days after each treatment. Thank you all for sharing your story. Her doctor also told her that she disorder is chronic and could take at least 10-15 years to see bone fracture if her kidney and liver are not deteriorating due to the chemotherapy. Everything is possible if we set our will and mind to it ! Cheers !

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for subscribing to My Channel. I was diagnosed with MM in November 1997. It got to Stage 3 with multiple fractures & anemia. My early treatments were with Aredia and in 2002 I went through 3 rounds of chemo using VAD. The MM smoldered for many years until 3 years ago when I actually started to get better. With the faithful prayers & support of friends, family & the medical community, the MM is now in remission. All things are possible!
Thank you for all your efforts to help find a cure for this cancer. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in your efforts....
