Do these guys who demo amps all go to school to learn the same riffs? This is a $3,000 amp; can't they get a decent recorded tone out of it?

Jerry was always very eloquent in his interviews when he's being serious. He was also a highly regarded artist - there's a book of his art work that you can buy. It's quite interesting.

This is soooo much better than "Shine a Light". It's amazing how good the Stones can be when they (apparently) care...

In his book, Sammy hates this performance. He says that Eddie was totally fucked up and the performance is very shoddy.

Line 6 stuff always sounds very harsh to me. The axe fx is softer and less "brittle" sounding...

Do you use the axe f/x in a live setting? I've heard that it - and the eleven rack and other multi-effect units - don't cut through the mix in a live setting like an amp does. What's your take?

@80rorted No way Duane played on this. He was quite dead by that time. Duane played with Derek and the Dominoes half a dozen(?) times (one of which I attended). Duane had a much more subtle touch than George Terry.

Lofty Fake Anagram was also a great album by this group. That's Steve Swallow on bass. He also played for a while with Bill Evans.

Notice how he breaks all the rules about fingerings? The great ones always do. There's a famous video of Artur Rubenstein playing and people are simply amazed at how his technique was "wrong".

Too bad the guitarist with the red guitar (on the right) is out of tune throughout the whole song.

Great guitarist, but he should have brushed his teeth more than once every 3 years...

Bought one of these back in 1970(?). Made my noisy Twin very noisy, but the overdrive was amazing... It plug ged straight into the guitar and was very unwieldy. Replaced it with a LPB-2, which was a pedal. Still very noisy...

@slowhand44dz Wrong! I saw Duane and Eric at Syracuse, NY on December 6th (?). There was a woman who did some research and she says they played together 6 times as Derek and the Dominoes.

At least he's keeping pretty good time - can't say that about a lot of drummers...

Saw these guys in NYC - they opened for Steppenwolf - and they were really good. Their rhythm section was amazing. They are totally lip-synching here, though...
