Boy Genius was born in Moscow in 1987. After quitting a few bands he became an underground sensation in the former Soviet Union as a solo performance artist. He grew weary of his surroundings and status and decided to explore the place where the majority of his musical influence came from, America.
Besides bootlegs of performances Boy Genius rarely records anything over one minute and 30 seconds in length. He refuses to allow other musicians on his recordings or use an actual studio.
