I could really go on about the amazing acting, the wonderful writing, the dazzling directing & the brilliant brain teasing that takes up throughout the episode, but to do so would take up the comment section three times so I will closes out my comments with these, don't waist you're time with A Game of Shadows, go watch The Reichenbach Fall. Actually go & buy the first series of Sherlock, & when it comes out buy the second series, & check out Without a Clue, it has a lot of good laughs. And, while we're at it go & watch the1984 series The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Just don't go to A Game of Shadows, you'll just end up wasting you time & $10.

While A Game of Shadows is ok The Reichenbach Fall is the Sherlock Holmes that fans have been waiting for & crushes the former in every way possible. While Andrew Scott is my least favorite Pro. Moriarty to date, Paul Freeman from the Sherlock spoof Without a Clue is, in my opinion, the definitive Moriarty, he is amazing in this in this episode, managing to act this is ridiculous yet terrifying. Over the top, & yet that so fits with the character in THIS series that it doesn't feel out of place, his a bit like the Joker from Nolan's The Dark Knight without feeling like he is aping that stile, he genially feels like his own character.

One thing I would warn say against it is that it can get a bit boring as there is near to no action scenes within the show, in fact there are only three fight scenes in the first season. So if you are looking for an action orientated series then this is not you stop.

Anyway, the series two finally, The Reichenbach Fall, & A Game of Shadows, are both based upon The Final Problem, the story most notable for introducing Pr. Moriarty & where Sherlock was supposed to meet his end until popular demand by fans brought him back.

Hey, themcdougalbugle, in regards to you review on Sherlock Holmes: A Games of Shadows there something you might want to check out. It's a British by Steve Moffat called, um, Sherlock. The series takes the characters & plots from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic series & puts it all in contemporary London & does so brilliantly. Unlike the Robert Downy Jr. films, which are brainless action flicks, (two words I do not associate with Sherlock Holmes), this series is a, "we have smart brain think" show, with each episode running in at about one & a half hours.
