The Manic Rampage is a Finnish band of myriad influences including everything from the HC punk of the '80s to the classic garage rock sounds of the '60s. The band has been jamming together since fall 2007 when Eetu and Verneri decided to start a group to jam with since they both played instruments and listened to the same cast of music.
After few jams the duo realised how dolorous they're upcoming road seemed, but fortunately they swiftly found a cure as Antti joined alongside the group as a second guitaris bringing in awesome muff sounds and his raw but soulful solos.
Most recently the band has started jamming with Iris pounding bass alongside with them. The additional instrument and the musician have brought the band a loadfull of new musical ideas as well as cool new arrangements.
Basically the guys want their music to combine the melodic tunes of Dinosaur Jr. and the rage of indie and garage genres. Every member listens to different styles of music from the others, each bringing in unique elements from their favourite genres.
Still, the guys share love for the American alternative music scene including everything from the protopunk to the year punk broke. So the group is striving to combine sounds from the American alternative scene and the British indie music, but at the end sounding more American than British. The guys prefer the American scene as it includes elements from blues, funk and other favourites.
