@gmel1084 basic quads and then when the cymbal strokes enter it becomes a basic triplet. bass drum keeps same rhythm.

@Furiiiiouz just because there is a polyrhythm doesn't mean it is technical. just b/c it is hard doesn't mean it is technical. tool has flow and patience. They aren't just trying to make the most complicated music they can, it is way more than that.

he is playing songs he hasn't played in a while i'm sure. he doesn't sit at home practicing tool. they wait to play together for that

@CaptainHowdySH gavin has better technique, but i think danny has better ideas. danny also has more creative musicians to play with which helps him stand out.

ppl shouldn't diss the crowd. this is all about "watching" this man making what your ears are "hearing" i wouldn't be dancing and not paying attention...but i'm a drummer so i am far more interested in seeing his movements than have my own self indulgent dance party that i could do any time any...
