WATCH ONE MAN MAKE A FEATURE FILM ENTIRELY ON HIS OWN.
- An entertaining series, part comic, part informative, part plain crazy! -

I am the actor, the editor, the set designer, the director, the colourist, the best-boy and the gaffer - in fact I am every role in the entire credits list.

Witness the struggle, the setbacks, the highs and lows as I fight the odds; and see the process of filmmaking like never before.

Please support me by watching my blogs, by subscribing and by spreading the word - I need all the support i can get to help get me up in the morning, to keep me focused and to convince the powers that be to distribute my film.

And hopefully I can keep you entertained by showcasing my pain and struggle as I film high up in the Alps in the snow and gales entirely on my own!

NOTE:

GABI - my wonderful lovely beautiful girlfriend is filming the blogs i.e. of me making the film - she's not helping me film the film itself - an important point! :-)

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

This project is beginning to take it's toll as we have both quit our jobs and still have to pay rent etc. as such I have taken the comments of many on board and have set up a paypal donations system - where you can donate whatever you like to help keep us going. Thankyou very much.

You can find it on my website http://www.thelonefilmmaker...

But please, if you are young or want to but can't really afford to, then please - your comments and encouragement is enough.

FAQ

1. When will the project be finished?

As soon as possible - but I have never done anything like this before and it is taking a lot longer than it would if I had a team, so I will keep on until it is finished. So long as I'm doing it, the blogs will continue!

2. How will we be able to see the film?

I do not yet know. I want to try to get distribution if I can, using the support I have here on youtube to help me (there being no-one famous in the film); but I may not, in which case I will pursue other avenues - but I will find a way of everyone being able to see the film (even if I have to stand on a street corner and sell DVDs myself!!) no matter what country you live in - but will let everyone here know when I do.

3. I can seee part of your shirt, am I meant to?

Yes. The blue shirt is part of the costume. He has adapted his clothes from the work clothes his father was wearing when they fled up the mountain at the age of 6. The idea is that after I have graded the film it will look greyish.

4. I will be cutting my hair and beard at the end of filming - and will feature it in a blog when I do!

5. What camera am I using?

A Sony V1 - shooting in HDV. It costs £2500 or approx $5500.

6. How are you recording the sound?

Using a Sennheisser MKH-416 directional mic and/or a Sennheisser EW112P radio microphone. This is for voice - additional sounds such as footsteps and movement etc will be added later in additional audio recording and foley.

7. What did you do before you started this project?

I am a professional filmmaker and work in corporate video production - http://www.maltfilms.com

8. Where did you get the money from?

I made lots of corporate films and saved hard. I got a small loan, I have an overdraft, and I have some credit agreements. I owe a lot of money and am in debt - which I don't advise anyone get into!

I can't wait to see the finished project! I've followed your blogs for about a year, maybe longer and I have a lot of faith in what you're doing and I think it's a great endeavor. I live in the US so let us know how we can see the movie when it's finished!!

You're Doing great dude, Keep it up and keep stong, it'll be well worth it in the end to be able to look bad at something so epic for the rest of you life as an incredible achivement.
out of curiosity have you got in contact with the guiness world recond company or anything like that, because surely this is something they'd want to put down? Also what about local news or BBC as im sure they could boost your fan base and as such, even income. Also do you have any plans on where the premiere will be as I live in Camberley in Surrey myself :)
Best regards, Alex xxxxx
