It's a crying shame that there are so many people out there that let their theism interfere with their ability to perceive the beauty of the natural world.

Reality is so much more amazing than any of the simplistic creation myths that have so obviously been concocted by more primitive minds.

If I chose to believe in a god, it would not be any of the petty conjurers being touted by the priests, preachers, rabbis or imams. Instead, it would be the one that created the indescribably vast and wondrous Universe that we can see, and measure, and explain a little more of each day, and that produced the dazzling myriad of life on Earth through the ingeniously simple yet elegant process that we call evolution.

I want to make it very clear that, while am an atheist, I am not an anti-theist. People are and should be entitled to believe anything they like as long as they allow others the freedom to do the same and represent their positions honestly. I am, however, an ardent anti-creationist. If my videos seem angry and aggressive it's because I've had it to the teeth with the dishonesty of people who are willing to tell any lie and distort any fact to further their worldview. I've long since lost the patience to indulge in calm and rational debate with these people because every time I've done so in the past I've been slapped back with their utter dishonesty. It is not possible to have an honest debate with the people I address in my videos, so I settle for calling them on their bull.

I frequently get comments that I'm wasting my time on this channel since the people I'm addressing will never change their stance because they are beyond reason. I'd like to make clear that I fully realize this and that the purpose of my videos is not to debate. Rather my intent is to not let them get away with their dishonesty and stupidity without at least facing some kind of humiliation for their trouble while providing the rest of us with a dollop of entertainment, a pinch of education, and at least a laugh or two at their expense.
