The Lightning Strikes are a 3 piece band from Kingswinford, Dudley.

The blackcountry band combine a mixture of hypnotic, energetic fuelled indie rock, with lyrics that encourage, move, excite and even attempt to offer answers to life's biggest questions.

Watching The Lightning Strikes live can take the listener through a rollercoaster of emotions. From song to song the sound and feel changes, meaning it is so hard to define what genre this band really are.

The Band released their debut album in Feb 2008, but their sound is continually changing and the band are currently recording a new EP, as their sound has improved and changed so much in the last year. The EP is set to be released in Feb 2010

Influences ranging from the harsh dark sounds of Joy Division, to the swirling sounds of the delayed guitars of u2, to the Piano led ballards of Longview, offer reasons why this bands sound is so unique. They have been compared with Joy Division, David Bowie, The Killers, Coldplay, u2, The Super Furry Animals and so on.

The Lyrcis are about a wide range of subjects, from relationships and lifes general every day battles, to lyrics that talk about the very core of the bands beliefs and christian faith
