I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2003. Through my own struggle with this disease, before that time and since, I sought to find a way to increase its awareness. Thus, the LEEP for Lupus Awareness Campaign™ was born and I have made it my mission to spread the word about this often-overlooked disease, primarily through education and sharing my Lupus Experience with anyone willing to learn and understand what it is like to live with it.

TheLeepChatChannel™ is an extension of my campaign and covers a whole spectrum of topics from diagnosis, how to communicate with your medical team, the various medications used to treat Lupus and their side effects, research developments, coping mechanisms, Lupus relates to mental illness, how to find a support group, diet, skin and hair care, etc.

Episodes will range from informal Vlogs to a formal journalistic format.
There may be up to three parts for any given subject since only ten minutes is allowed per show. I will accept all appropriate comments and emails and I welcome requests (viewer questions and comments will receive a video response if applicable).

ABOUT M R COSMETICS CONSULTANTS™

As one who is aware of the profound effect Lupus has on the physical appearance, I created a makeup channel here on youtube, under the name--brownsexyslim (see link below), to inspire women.

I can relate to the difficulties that go with trying to maintain and protect skin that becomes scarred and bruised and I experience the frustration of attempting to manage hair that profusely sheds and falls out.

These are just a few things that can damage a woman's self-esteem and change the way she thinks of her self-image.

I know firsthand what it's like to feel unattractive and as trivial as it may seem--LOOKS MATTER!! Especially to women and particularly to women living with Lupus.

For me, makeup is a tool that allows me to "project" a healthy self-image and offset some of these challenges. It is thereapeutic because I believe you feel better, if you look better. I can use it to paint on a mask to hide my fatigue AND as an outlet to fuel my creative streak.

The versatility of makeup provides so many options for me and I want to show other women that looking beautiful is attainable no matter what!
