This channel is home to just some of the videos made by LAMP staff, but also LAMP participants. We value process over product--so these videos may not be slick, but they represent the experience of someone (maybe as young as 8 years old!) who may be holding a video camera for the very first time.

As this site is intended for use by people of all ages, The LAMP will not publish comments which use curse words or offensive language.

Everyone needs to understand how media work. Everyone. Visit http://www.thelampnyc.org to learn more about our free workshops.

We call it "talk back" because we think you should talk back to the media you use rather than just let it tell you what and how to think. Do you ever wish you could talk back to the things you see in the media?

Thank you! Actually, I got the idea to do something like that the very first time I heard that song :D I do alot of "media reconstruction" in my spare time, just cuz I find it fun :D I like to mix things up B) Most of my videos here are just Bratz, updates, "hauls", and stuff though. Take a look if you want :)

lol, I'll bite. Why the sudden interest in my Bratz video? ;)

This is good to see. And it makes sense that it would come out of NYC, seeing how saturated we are as we walk and commute. It would also be good to see this combined with something *like* the bubble project (not necessarily copying the bubble project).

Yay! We love your Talking Back videos! Check out our Yell and Sell, Real American Girls, and Photoshop (My Hotness Is Pastede On Yey!) videos -- we have our own questions about advertising and we'd LOVE to hear what you think. We hope to work with you all sometime!
