THESE AREN'T LIES..

In 2009 The La La Lies were catapulted into 1,2 million living rooms from out of the blue. For seventy steaming seconds the Dutch audience could behold the future of rock 'n roll and even fellow guest and know-it-all Louis van Gaal remained speechless after their performance. "The Who from the Lowlands", host Matthijs van Nieuwkerk added and OOR Magazine labeled them "One of the best new Dutch acts around".

In 2010 the band proved they can also keep a crowd's attention for forty-five minutes (that's one complete half, Mr van Gaal). They were an ever present factor at the traveling festival Popronde, conquered venues like the Melkweg, Vera and Hedon and they played numerous festivals including De Affaire, Bevrijdingsfestival and Uitmarkt. 3FM DJ Sander Guijs declared himself fan and invited the band for a live session on national radio. "This band deserves to be a 3FM Serious Talent", he added after their show. Meanwhile the band have been signed to booking agency Friendly Fire.

After a year of performing the band is now working on their first album. Together with producer Huub Reijnders (Krezip, Dazzled Kid, Blof) they will head into the studio in 2011 to put it all on tape. The band is ready for 2011 to become the year of The La La Lies!
