my name's Kev, I live in a little town in the UK called Widnes, and i've just started to play the banjo


i figured i might as well record my progress in videos, every new song going onto here. I already play a few stringed instruments so who knows, this might go well. I'll post the odd guitar and bass video now and again too, just to break things up.

i reckon i suffer from red light syndrome, ie as soon as i press record all skill and technique go out the window, but no harm in trying

TABS - I don't write out tabs of what i've played, sorry, mainly because i don't use them myself, i CAN read them but it's much better for you to learn a song by ear. I'll gladly let you know what tuning a song is in, and what key if you're stuck, but try figuring it out using your ear instead of your eyes!
