In this year, 1946, Keene's Depot first opened its doors in the historic town of Bardstown, Kentucky. Over the past 64 years, Keene's Depot has served the local community as a grocery store, ice house, and a sporting goods store, all under one roof & simultaneously. Beginning in 2001, sensing the end of an era of small family owned grocery stores, our direction began to change with an emphasis on firearms and the shooting sports. There was a strong need in our part of Kentucky for a dedicated firearms and shooting sports store, so we decided to fill the void. As we grew, more and more customers began to drive from further away to shop with us. As word got out of our selection, honesty, and sharp pricing, we found ourselves shipping guns all across the United States of America. That prompted customers to start asking for a website, and out of this grew KYGUNCO.COM.

KYGUNCO.COM is a no nonsense website. If you are looking for fireworks and things that dazzle you, this is not the place. What we do have, is the best firearms and shooting accessories at the best prices.

How we work: Honesty & Customer Service is our Primary Goal. We promise to be upfront and truthful with ALL of our customers ALL of the time. Our owners and employees understand that honesty and great customer service keep customers coming back.

Pricing: Our buyers work overtime searching the globe for the best products at the best price. That allows us to pass our savings on to you. Our buyers attend the SHOT Show every year, among other numerous trade shows. We conduct factory visits every year and are constantly in close contact with factory reps, all in the name of getting the best price for you, our customer.

We do not claim to be the cheapest guys on the block. There are plenty of FFL licensed dealers out there doing business out of their home. With no overhead, insurance requirements, or staff to employ, these guys might save you a buck or two; however, if you are looking for a dealer who has a solid reputation, one that offers quality products, outstanding customer service, even when things go wrong, The Kentucky Gun Co. is the place for you. Your total satisfaction is our #1 concern and our livelihood depends on it.
